THE WIND CAVE (La Grotta del Vento)  - One of the most interesting European caves in one of the most colorful areas of the Apuane Alps; its huge variety of features makes this cave, geologically speaking,  some sort of "natural encyclopaedia".

THE VAGLI LAKE (Il Lago di Vagli)  - Vast and deep, the man-made lake, created after th end of World War II, is surrounded by a gorgeous natural landscape. Beneath the surface lies, hidden, the Fabbriche Di Carreggine village, also called "the ghost village"; it is possible to see it only once every ten years, when the lake is emptied (next time will be on year 2004).

THE DEVIL'S BRIDGE  (Il Ponte del Diavolo) - It was built to connect the two sides of the Serchio River by the confluence with the Lima River. We still don't know much about this remarkable medieval piece of architecture, so we're not sure about the year of its construction. Legend has it that "to build this daring architecture work the Devil's work was necessary, and the Devil asked in return the soul of the first being who would go across the bridge. The builder swindled him though, making a pig cross the bridge first".

CASTELVECCHIO PASCOLI  - In Castelvecchio, on the Caprona hill, we still can see the house where poet Giovanni Pascoli lived between 1895 and 1912 with his sister Mriu'. Pascoli chose that place for its beautiful and quiet green landscapes, and the sounds of its church bells. He is buried near his beloved sister in the chapel adiacent to the villa.
